Meningie & Districts Memorial Hospital Inc was opened in 1975 and is now responsible for Coonalpyn Downs Community Health Service. In 1991 the Meningie Hospital & Coonalpyn Downs Community Health Service amalgamated to become known as Meningie & Districts Memorial Hospital & Health Services Inc.

Meningie Hospital is a 24 bed public hospital which services Meningie, Coonalpyn, Tintinara, Salt Creek, Raukkan and surrounding areas.
The hospital provides services in acute medical care, paediatrics, surgical, post surgical, post natal, aged care, palliative care and primary health care. 15 beds are designated for acute care, and 8 beds for aged residential care. A special care unit is available.
Meningie Hospital provides a 24 hour Accident & Emergency service to the community. The Meningie Nursing Home Campus, which is a part of the Hills, Mallee Southern Aged Care Facility provides accommodation and care 6 for Commonwealth Aged Care Clients. 2 State Nursing Home beds are also provided for Nursing Home Clients.
The hospital provides an extensive Outreach service to the community including Diabetes, and Asthma educators and Aboriginal Health Worker along with many other services.
Jallarah Homes Inc is a 24 bed Hostel which includes an aged care Respite bed.
