The Meningie & Districts Memorial Hospital has developed the following 12 point list as their Objectives.

To provide quality individual patient care in a facility maintained to ensure optimal safety for all patients, staff and visitors.

To promulgate policy that provides direction to the organisation ensuring that all statutory obligations are met.

To ensure the provision of resources aimed at maintaining and developing services which are appropriate to community health needs.

To provide competent staff and to support the provision of further training and educational opportunities for all levels of employees.

To develop outreach services as required and to ensure clear communications and interaction with the community in establishing health care needs.

To regularly review the activity of the hospital and the Board, and to appraise the performance of the executive staff.

To appoint medical staff of the highest possible calibre following a due process of assessment.

To ensure that patients will have ready access to appropriate services according to their needs.

In accordance with Patients Charter of Rights and Responsibilities, the dignity, self esteem, choices and privacy of patients and their families will be respected and promoted.

To facilitate the education and promotion of health issues amongst consumers in this and the wider community.

To ensure that the provision of services and the undertakings of all duties associated with the operation of the hospital and Community Health Centres is achieved through adherence to the quality improvement and program.

To support and care for the residents of Meningie Nursing Home section in accordance with the charter.
